Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Paro [Arrival], Transfer to the Hotel
After lunch: Paro sightseeing, The National Museum, Rinpung Dzong (houses district Administration and monks), Drugyel Dzong (historic ruins fortress) Overnight: Hotel.

Day 2 Paro ~ Thimphu Enroute visit Semtokha Dzong (oldest fortress in Bhutan. Also houses the largest monastic school) In Thimphu: Memorial Chorten (stupa built in memory of third king of Bhutan), Traditional Painting School, Visit handicrafts shops, Pangrizampa Monastery, Zilukha Nunnery School Overnight: Hotel.

Day 3 Thimphu ~ Wangduephodrang ~ Punakha ~ Thimphu
Enroute halt at Dochula Pass (10,000 ft) for a view of the Eastern Himalayan mountain range. Visit the Punakha Dzong and the Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Monastery) Evening: return to Thimphu

Day 4 Thimphu ~ Paro
3 hour hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery. Also visit a typical Bhutanese farm house for a cup of yak butter tea~local wine. Overnight: Hotel

Day 5 Paro [Departure]
Transfer to the Airport for final departure.
