Honey hunting is an age-old tradition here in Nepal. Local honey hunters show their exceptional skills by hanging themselves from cliff as high as 300 meters using bamboo ladders and hemp ropes, while harvesting the honeycombs See the spectacular honey hunting on the steep bee cliffs to experience the tradition and culture of the local people. See them while you trek in the foothills of the Himalayas.October\ November and may\ June are two probable periods of honey hunting in a year.
Autumn season's hunting is done in the low altitude belt. They are nearer from the base. So journey of this seasons' are short generally of 4-5 days long. But high altitude hunting being far from the based are of 5-9 days long.
Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the Hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Full day sightseeing program in Kathmandu, Patan & Bhaktapur city. Overnight at Hotel. (B)
Day 3: Drive about 6 hours to Khudi, Lamjung. Overnight at Camp. (BLD)
Day 4: Trekking about 6 hours to honey hunting village. Overnight at Camp. (BLD)
Day 5: Adventure program at the heart thrilling cliff. Overnight at Camp. (BLD)
Day 6: Farewell program by villagers and return back to Khudi. Overnight at Camp. (BLD)
Day 7: Drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel. Cultural Dinner Program at night. (BLD)

Hunting journey Management
Honey hunting occurs in very critical natural topography which is generally isolated from human habitation. We have to be well equipped with all food & tents or campaign management including guides, porters & sometimes we have to take help from villagers.
